The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical is a nationally acclaimed 66 acre display garden nestled on the shores of White Rock Lake, located in Dallas, Texas, Dallas County. It features breathtaking floral displays all throughout the year. Architectural Digest named the arboretum “One of the Most Breathtaking Gardens in the World”.  During the summer, the garden includes numerous water features with breathtaking floral displays and also includes an outdoor concert series on Thursday evenings. From September to November, the Arboretum features a Pumpkin Village. This Pumpkin Village is nationally acclaimed and features over 90,000 pumpkins/squash/gourds. Fodor’s Travel has named it one of America’s Best Pumpkin festivals. The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden is an 8 acre garden that was designed to help connect children with nature. A central focus of the gardens mission is education, teaching life and Earth science with 150 interactive activities and 17 outdoor/indoor galleries. This is where fun and science become one. 

Across the 66 acres, various outdoor and indoor locations are available for rent. The professional team at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden can help plan company meetings, birthday parties, lectures, luncheons, rehearsal dinners, weddings, and other private events.

There are several dining options at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. These include Seated Tea, Lula Mae Slaughter Dining Terrace, Cafe on the Green, Restaurant DeGolyer- Outdoor Loggia, Restaurant DeGolyer-Indoor Tea Room, and the Grilled Cheese Kiosk. Special Holiday Dinners are also available in December. The relaxed tranquil atmosphere and stunning green grass also provide a great natural setting for families, children and individuals to sit down and have a picnic.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden has been providing educational programming for North Texans of all ages for almost 2 decades. It brings hands-on learning fun for everyone.   It provides Free Garden STEM at Home Lessons, Teacher Professional Learning Workshops, School Field Trips and Outreach Programs, Homeschool Programs, Afterschool Programs, Summer Camps, Overnights in the Garden, and Girl Scout Badge Programs. Teachers always get in free!

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is open seven days a week from 9 to 5. The garden is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. Group sales and other discounts are available at the Arboretum. Memberships are also available.
